Abstract
This paper explores a comparative analysis for the first time in Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) research with the new Plithogenic Neutrosophic approach. Here, two well-established MCDM methods, TOPSIS and VIKOR, are used to compare a number of alternatives to reduce air pollution due to vehicles. The paper utilizes real-life data from urban areas characterized by different levels of pollution and types of vehicle fleets. Through a rigorous evaluation process, which incorporates the representation of uncertainty and inconsistency using Plithogenic Neutrosophic sets, the goal of the study is to determine which of the many gasoline kinds is best for automobiles. Real-life data on vehicle emissions, fuel efficiency, and environmental impact are meticulously integrated into the analysis. The findings of this comparative analysis, supplemented by real-life data, are succinctly presented using a radar graph. This graph conspicuously showcases the superior performance of electric vehicles in mitigating air pollution when compared to other alternatives such as petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles. This article underscores the efficacy of integrating Plithogenic Neutrosophic sets into MCDM frameworks, while emphasizing the significance of informed decision-making processes based on real-life data for addressing pressing environmental challenges within the transportation sector.
