COMMON FIXED-POINT THEOREMS FOR ψ-COMPATIBLE MAPPING OF TYPE(P)

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of a -compatible mapping of type (P) defined via a suitable control function . We establish a common fixed-point theorem in a complete metric space by employing this new notion. The obtained result generalizes the theorem of Pathak et al. [2], Sastry et al. [4], and further extends several related results available in the literature.
